major acquisition of technology, clientele and engineering talent. Under
an agreement between Luminex and computer service and support giant
Anacomp, headquartered in Poway, California, Luminex has acquired the
premium Data/Ware product line and customer base. In addition, Luminex has
hired the entire Data/Ware engineering and product marketing team. Anacomp
Technical Services will continue to provide maintenance services to
existing Data/Ware customers and will expand their maintenance offerings to
all worldwide Luminex customers.

Riverside, CA - April 10, 2000 Luminex Software, Inc. today announced support for DVD-R technology in its complete line of award-winning CD and DVD based archiving, publishing, and distribution solutions. The Luminex solutions are UNIX server based and include library, duplication, and stand-alone drive products.
"DVD-R technology provides true write-once, high capacity media, while also providing a standard, portable media," according to Brian Hawley, President of Luminex. "DVD-R is a perfect fit for our customers of data archiving and distribution products."
The Luminex NET-DVD-R is based on a stand-alone DVD-R drive and includes a hard disk buffer for DVD image creation, the Luminex Fire Series management software, and HOTfolders automation software which won the Editor's Choice Award from EMedia Magazine in April 2000. The NET-DVD-R is shipping and available today.
The DVD-Powered library product line, and Power-Press duplication and distribution product line will be generally available with DVD-R support during this second quarter of 2000.
