Luminex Upgrades TPF Operations Servers with 64-bit, PCI-X Console Interface

Hollywood, Calif. - April 18, 2005 Luminex Software, Inc., a leading developer of mainframe connectivity and storage products, announced today at the TPF Users Group Spring Conference in Hollywood, Calif., the general release of its new 64-bit, PCI-X 3215 TCP Console Interface card, an upgrade to IBM's current 9663 card. The 3215 Console Interface card fits all current server configurations and offers the reliability and performance TPF users demand. Luminex's 3215 Console Interface card is based upon Luminex's established PCI channel interface technology, with over ten years of successful, reliable, high performance mainframe products.

Luminex worked in conjunction with IBM to rigorously test the 3215 Console Interface card with TPF systems to ensure that the TPF users receive the high level of reliability, scalability and performance required for mission-critical information systems. Luminex's 3215 Console Interface card has been tested by Luminex and IBM for use with IBM's TPF Operations Server, Version 1, Release 2 software. The 3215 Console Interface card, announced at the TPF Users Group Fall Conference, has successfully completed test and acceptance at a major, international TPF user. The 3215 Console Interface card has now been released for general distribution and works seamlessly with all server configurations.

The 3215 Console Interface card features a half-size PCI form factor, physically installing in all new server configurations. It is fully 64-bit PCI compliant, supporting ESCON transfer rates of 17 Megabytes per second with up to 4 Megabytes of RAM.

"We are pleased to offer TPF users an upgrade that improves performance with our 3215 Console Interface card," said Michael Saunders, president of Luminex. "Luminex's over ten years of mainframe channel connectivity expertise has allowed our company to offer TPF users an exceptionally reliable, proven, high performance product for their mission-critical information processing needs."
