Luminex Announces DVD-R Data Archiving and Publishing Solutions for UNIX Servers

Riverside, CA - April 10, 2000 ‚ Luminex Software, Inc. today announced support for DVD-R technology in its complete line of award-winning CD and DVD based archiving, publishing, and distribution solutions. The Luminex solutions are UNIX server based and include library, duplication, and stand-alone drive products.

The Luminex NET-DVD-R is based on a stand-alone DVD-R drive and includes a hard disk buffer for DVD image creation, the Luminex Fire Series management software, and HOTfolders automation software which won the Editor's Choice Award from EMedia Magazine in April 2000. The NET-DVD-R is shipping and available today.

The DVD-Powered library product line, and Power-Press duplication and distribution product line will be generally available with DVD-R support during this second quarter of 2000.
